EuroPhilEx Birmingham 2025 May Press Release

29 May 2024

Arrangements for the next mid-decade British International Exhibition, EuroPhilEx BIRMINGHAM 2025, are progressing well. It will be held at the National Exhibition Centre Birmingham, the first time a British International has been held outside London, from Wednesday 7 to Sunday 11 May 2025. The NEC is located near the centre of the country, close to several motorways and junctions, with over 16,500 parking spaces. It has its own railway station and is adjacent to Birmingham International Airport.

The exhibition will have over 2,000 exhibition frames and has FEPA Patronage and FIP Recognition. All FIP classes are available, except youth, and it is now open for entries, but the entry deadline is 1 August 2024 so enter now! To submit an exhibit please go to the website at http://www.europhilex2025.co.uk and fill in an entry form. Entries can be accepted from anyone living in a FEPA country, which is most of Europe, or anyone elsewhere in the world that is a member of a Society affiliated to a European national federation. For example, The Royal Philatelic Society London, the Great Britain Philatelic Society, the Malaya Study Group etc. The website also shows opportunities for Supporters, Patrons and Sponsors who we encourage, as major exhibitions of this type rely on the generosity of some collectors, dealers and auction houses.

Literature entries are being submitted at a good rate and we are pleased that the AIJP are overseeing the reading lounge. An area will be set aside to relax and examine the books at your leisure. More literature entries are welcomed and the fee is only £40.

There is more space available for dealers than at London 2022, with a total floor area of up to 10,000 square metres, so we hope to have a large number attending. Details of trade stand prices can also be found on the website along with a package of offers for Societies. Meeting rooms are available at very reasonable rates and there will be a Society Showcase event on the Thursday 8 May. On Saturday 10 May, the Philatelic Congress of Great Britain is being held in an adjacent room and on Sunday 12 May the exhibition hosts the FEPA Congress. Sunday afternoon will feature a live auction by Cavendish Auctions and there will be interesting presentations throughout the week. A series of EuroPhilEx collectors’ souvenir sheets will appear in every edition of Stamp Collector magazine from the July 2024 edition (published 15 June) until next May’s edition.

Anyone that would like to receive more information and regular updates can register their interest on the web site. EuroPhilEx BIRMINGHAM 2025 will be one of the largest, best and most enjoyable exhibitions of the decade. Please put the dates in your diary now.
